Refund Policy
Refund eligibility depends on how far in advance of your scheduled tour you cancel:
Please note: no refund will be issued for cancellations due to personal reasons such as illness, missed flights or trains, or change of plans, regardless of when notice is given - except where covered under "Exceptions" below.
Exceptions
- If your tour is cancelled by Varanasi Guru due to unforeseen events such as natural disasters, strikes, or other force majeure situations, you will receive a full refund.
- If extreme weather makes it unsafe to conduct the tour or boat ride, a full refund will be issued regardless of your cancellation time.
How to Cancel
To cancel your booking and request a refund:
- Email us at hello@varanasiguru.com, or message us on WhatsApp
- Include your booking reference number (from your confirmation email or WhatsApp message)
- Include a clear request for cancellation, along with your preferred refund method
Refund Timeline
- Approved refunds will be processed within 7 business days of your cancellation request being confirmed.
- The refund amount will be credited back to your original mode of payment via Razorpay.
Important Notes
- This policy is in line with applicable Indian consumer protection guidelines.
- For Dev Diwali and other festival-period bookings, special cancellation terms may apply due to high demand - these will be communicated at the time of booking.
