What time is best for the boat ride?
Sunrise (5:30-6:30 AM) is the most recommended - the light is golden, the ghats are active with morning prayers, and the energy of Varanasi waking up is unlike anything else. Sunset rides are equally beautiful. Avoid the midday heat in summer months.
